Tiger, Elephant, Panther, Leopard, Wild Boar, Barking Deer and Peafowl.

Lying along the northern edge of the Chota Nagpur Plateau, the Palamau Tiger Reserve has an area of 1026 sq.km. The undulating terrain is set off by sal forests and thickets of bamboo. Though the Koel River and its tributaries cut through the park, the animals are mostly dependent on man-made water holes for thier needs and viewing them is consequently quite easy. The Indian wolf has also been seen here.
