The name hazaribagh means place of a thousand Tiger, Hazaribagh wildlife sanctuary nestling in the low hill terrain. This retreat stretches over 184 sq.Km of plains undulating country, steep hill and deep nullaha with thick tropical forests and grass meadows. Numerous obeservation tower in the sanctuary make it all the more easier to have a closer encounter. A great variety of birds can be seen during the day.
